dad??

Sunday, March 04, 2007

Yesterday I seen my father for the first time in about 10 years..
it was a surprise..
it was unexpected..
it was uncomfortable..
it has left me uncertain..

yesterday was also my moms bday.. its weird. My dad was helping me ice my moms birthday cake at my sisters house.. its like a dream today that i had even seen him yesterday! I didn't have much to say to him.. he did most of the talking. I wonder when I will see him again.. an if this is a turning point in our relationship.. or just a one time thing.. cause of my sister.. expectantly running into him at the grocery store an bringing him home.

That must have been so weird/strange/confusing!! I feel for your Mom too, on her birthday.

As for the jack ass who says you have Daddy issues, newsflash "all women do"!!

I hadn't seen my sister in 10 years and had to see her last spring, she was so pathetic that my hate turned into pity.

EVERYBODY on the planet has issues on how they related to both the same-sex and opposite sex parents.

It is their influence that determines how we relate to that sex for the rest of our lives. If you don't think you have issues then you are fooling yourself. Or you have an issue with the word issue.

If you can't spell DEFINITELY then you definitely have issues!

Why do people insist on being such asses and the last person DEFINETLY has issues since you had to come back and comment more than once and your comments are very rude, you much have an issue with something stuck up your ass…

It's unfortunate that you all have relationship issues with your parents.. and yes... whoever said that the way in which we relate to our parents influences our other relationships is correct.

I hope you all realise that there are many people out there who don't have parent issues... and if you do have issues... then I hope you try to work them out.

So what's it like missc getting a glimpse of what your future husband will be like. You know how these cycles of life happen. Especially since you seem to date nothing but deadbeats like your dad.

Wow, you guys are all so positive and supportive. It must be awesome up on that pedestal with Anonymous and MattB - to bad the rest of us who are human and make mistakes and have the odd issue will never know your super human perserverance.

I think it's so awesome that somebody can stand by their opinion and still not be able to sign their name. It's a little cowardly. If you have something to say, then say it. It's very juvenile.

missc, some people are just jerks. If they can't even let you know who they are, they probably aren't worth listening to at all.

sincerly,
MEREDITH
